<image:caption>As a doctoral candidate in the Urban Schooling division of UCLA’s School of Education & Information Studies, I seek to support the development of expressive, embodied pedagogies that prioritize movement and the intentional application of dance for K-12 learners and teachers in higher education. I study teacher education, dance, and improvisation to support the design of embodied learning environments. I look critically at the role of the body in both formal and informal educational spaces.</image:caption>

<image:title>Research - Embodied Pedagogy to Support Undergraduate Teaching Artists - Findings</image:title>
<image:caption>Participating in an embodied workshop as part of an arts education pedagogy class may support diverse conceptualizations of learning through participation. Incorporating an intentionally designed movement intervention in a pedagogy course may support developing teaching artists across disciplines to integrate movement into their lesson plans and teaching. Intentional movement practices further seem to support the development of a learning community that values sharing and vulnerability. Movement was introduced as one tool to support expression and promote connection between participants.</image:caption>
